Cédric et Jérôme Segaud

Winegrowers in the Beaujolais and Mâconnais

Le domaine

The estate

The Segaud estate is located in Corcelles-en-Beaujolais in the lieu-dit  “Bruyères-Lachaux” and owns vines in both the Beaujolais and Mâconnais regions.

In 2000, after finishing their viticultural studies in Beaune, the brothers Cédric and Jérôme took over a few of the Beaujolais plots that belonged to their grandparents. They expanded the estate little by little, through people they met over time, to include Beaujolais Crus and appellations from southern Burgundy. Twenty years after establishing their estate, they now offer an impressive range of red, white and rosé wines crafted with Gamay or Chardonnay grapes.

Cédric and Jérôme are passionate about their work and are dedicated to preserving their terroirs and their environment. Since 2020, the estate has been certified HEV 3 (High Environmental Value), 3 being the highest level. This certification covers four key points: biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, managed fertilizer use, and water resource management.

The grapes are harvested by hand by a sizeable team of pickers over a period of several weeks in August and September.

Les vins

The wines

Offering a terroir in which the Gamay grape thrives, the vineyards of the Beaujolais feature granitic soils that allow this varietal to show off all it has to offer. We craft different appellations that are fruit-forward, delectable variations all of which are highly characteristic of the Gamay grape.

Further north, the estate spans various Burgundy appellations, producing 3 white wines and a crémant crafted from Chardonnay grapes.
